Research

For more information on research that Washington CAN! uses on its campaigns, check out these websites:

Families USA, directed by Ron Pollack, has been working for over 15 years, and their research on health care and insurance issues has earned them a national reputation. We have used the results of several Families USA reports in our work in Washington state.

The Economic Opportunity Institute (EOI) is another excellent source of research on issues ranging from health care, Social Security, insurance, and other subjects.
http://www.econop.org

The Economic Policy Institute (EPI) is one of the foremost organizations doing research on economic issues, including living wages, poverty, and free trade.

Good Jobs First, founded by Greg Leroy, is the place to find information on corporate subsidies and corporate accountability fights across the country.
http://www.goodjobsfirst.org

Good Jobs First operates as a project of the Institute for Taxation and Economic Policy (ITEP). Founded in 1979, ITEP reached national prominence during the debate on the Bush tax cut, when their research became one of the chief weapons used by opponents of the federal tax cut giveaway.
