That's right.  Washington CAN! is moving.  After five wonderful years in the beautiful Wallingford neighborhood of Seattle, we're packing up and moving to our new home in the Georgetown neighborhood of Seattle.  Georgetown has been called "Seattle's feisty, intensely creative neighborhood."  We think we'll fit right in.

As of September 1st, you can reach us at our new home:
220 South River Street
Seattle, WA 98108

Stop by.  We'd love to see you.

Our phone & email will remain the same - 206-389-0050 and info@washingtoncan.org

3) Health care crisis facing middle class small businesses - KUOW 94.9FM

On Monday, August 13th, Washington CAN! member Michelle Moulton spoke on 'Weekday,' the morning call-in radio show on KUOW, 94.9 FM.  She spoke about how a health care system that puts profits ahead of people is failing middle class small business owners like her.  After going through a year of chemotherapy following a misdiagnosis, Michelle and her family have been abandoned by insurance companies who think they can no longer make a buck on insuring her.

You can listen to the program at http://www.kuow.org/defaultProgram.asp?ID=13245

(Michelle joins the conversation towards the end of the program, in the 46th minute.)

4) Amy Goodman of Democracy NOW! - Friday, Sept 28th

Check out this exciting upcoming event from our friends at the Social Justice Fund.
