Healthcare access is under threat as hospital mergers and acquisitions often lead to reduced services and skyrocketing costs for patients. WashingtonCAN, in coalition with the Washington State Nurses Association, is championing the Mergers & Acquisitions Bill to ensure the Attorney General has oversight of these consolidations. This legislation protects vital services like reproductive care, end-of-life options, and gender-affirming treatments while preventing significant cost increases. By advocating for this bill, we aim to safeguard equitable, affordable healthcare for all Washingtonians, regardless of where they live or who they are.
